ARRL Field Day and Winter Field Day are two of our club’s biggest and most anticipated events each year. These weekends are all about radio, community, and fun—whether you’re making contacts across the globe or just stopping by to see what amateur radio is all about.
Don Locke The Idaho QSO Party is a fun and fast-paced amateur radio contest where stations from across the country—and even around the world—try to make contact with every county in Idaho. For operators outside the state, Idaho contacts are a prized catch, making us the center of attention for one exciting weekend.

Don Locke The Monthly Kids Net is a fun and friendly on-air gathering just for young amateur radio operators (and those curious about the hobby). It’s hosted on the Hat Butte Repeater.
Don Locke The South West Idaho Amateur Radio Club holds its Monthly Leadership Meeting on the last Thursday of each month at Mr. V's Family Restaurant. While these meetings are primarily for club leadership, all members are welcome to attend. Whether you want to observe the decision-making process, share ideas, or get more involved in planning, your voice matters.
Don Locke Parks on the Air (POTA) is one of the most exciting and accessible activities in amateur radio. Whether you’re operating as part of a group or on your own, POTA is all about heading out to a park, setting up your gear, and making contacts with other hams from around the world.
